Hi, I’m Yvette - with over 20 years coaching experience. I’m a mindset and accountability coach, counselling and psychology student, and a passionate advocate for those of us who feel like they’ve lost touch with who they are. I’m here to help you set goals and achieve them, hold you accountable, support you through life’s tough situations and a weekly download!
About me.
My journey began with a dream — to represent Australia on the world stage as a Commonwealth Games swimming athlete. After 13 years of elite-level dedication, I achieved that goal in 2002. The discipline, resilience, and mental strength I developed during those years have shaped every chapter of my life since.
I’ve navigated more than my fair share of life’s challenges. I grew up amidst the emotional turbulence of parental separation and the financial hardship of extreme poverty. At a young age, I experienced the trauma of the 1989 Newcastle Earthquake, which left me with PTSD that I carried for years.
In adulthood, I’ve built, managed, and sold successful businesses — all while facing the immense pressure that comes with financial uncertainty, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ve supported my husband through nearly two decades of his own battle with extreme PTSD, and I continue to work full-time while raising our beautiful 10-year-old daughter.
Grief has been a profound part of my story. I lost my mum suddenly when I was just 25, and my dad more recently, at 40. These losses, though deeply painful, have further fuelled my commitment to mental health, healing, and helping others rise through adversity.
For years I’ve worked in fast-paced roles leading teams in the fitness and wellness space. I’ve managed stores, built communities, hired incredible people, and supported them through personal and professional growth. Through all of this I started to notice something, the mental load, the pressure to do it all, and the quiet burnout no one talks about.
I’ve been there too.
I know what it’s like to feel pulled in every direction, to look like you’ve got it together on the outside while internally wondering “Is this it?” I hit a point where I knew something had to change - not just in my lifestyle, but in my mindset. I knew there was more for me to offer, I could make a greater change on a larger scale. I could help more people and create a ripple effect, teaching skills, providing support that could intern not only make the individual happier and more balanced, better able to cope, but also helping in turn those in their immediate circle. It’s that cliche saying, you can’t pour from an empty cup, but man its accurate and I’ve learnt that the hard way WAY too many times.
This shift led me to studying counselling and now psychology, my journey, is now allowing me to help you find your way back to your true self.
